I moved to Hawaii in 1986 and slowly started
working my way into a new lifestyle that
included swimming, paddling, running, and
eventually cycling and triathlon. I've done the
Moloka'i Hoe canoe race from Moloka'i to O'ahu,
run the Honolulu Marathon, done 1/2 Ironman races, and many shorter distance triathlons, so I guess you could say I'm a bit of an exercise oriented kinda guy.

After 23 years as a graphic designer and illustrator I got tired of the business and one day, while getting a massage after a particularly hard training period, saw a light go off and thought..."hmmmmm, I could do this..." and a couple months later I was neck deep in massage school. I attended Hawaii College of Health Sciences in Honolulu, which is no longer here but was, in my opinion, possibly THE best school in town at the time. I received a very medically oriented eduction (the school was operated by an Osteopathic physician and acupuncturist with an

EMT background), and even went through UH Medical School for gross anatomy workshops where we were fortunate enough to study on cadavers. My acupuncture training overlapped the massage training, both at Hawaii College, and by 200 I was licensed in both.

I was still working as a graphic designer and illustrator while going to school, but afterwards retired from the business with the exception of one client, who I still work with even now. Dr. Linda Dixon was an aesthesiologist
who had permanent makeup before it was popular and recalls it as an agonizin
g experience. She
saw a need and created a thriving businesses Microsource and Kolorsource. to teach her technics
and provide a complete line of topical anesthetics, pigments, and equipment that are well
respected and used all over the world.

One of my jobs as her graphic designer was filming, editing, and producing instructional
videos. I saw eyebrow, eyeliner, and lip procedures done frame by frame for years before
I ever picked up a tattooing pen. Combining my artist talents with what I’d been seeing
macroscopically for years made me a quick study and I got the hang of cosmetic
tatooing pretty fast.

Here's a little something about me...

Aloha...I'm George Davis, owner and head guy at The Pain Relief Center and
Flawless Permanent Makeup. I've been a liscensed massage since 1998, an
acupuncturist since 2000, and cosmetic tatoo artist since 2006.

I've been self employed for all but 3 years of my professional life when I  learned
the hard way that I was basically not employable. I was working as an art director
in an advertising agency after completing college with a B.A. in Fine Art and
Psychology. My original intention had been to attend graduate school for art
therapy, but I wasn't ready for more school so I moved to Dallas, Texas
(I grew up in Houston), and started my career in graphic design and illustration.
That was 1978.

compassion for those I work on that translates into a stronger sense of how to help them. Regarding the cosmetic tattooing, I feel that my talent as an artist and the resources I have available enable me to create the look each of my clients desires.

So that’s about it in a nutshell. I hope this quick look into my life gives you a sense of who I am and how I work. If you’re interested in giving it a go, please don’t hesitate to give me a call at 808/386-6763 or drop me a line at george@flawlesspmhawaii.com.

The latest area I’ve begun exploring
is Reiki. I’ve never really been a nanu-nanu kinda guy, but I’ve been on a spiritual journey the past couple of years that has led me to a place where I can’t dismiss the fact that there are possibly other layers in the universe. If this is a tool that can add to my healing resources then I’m all in favor of giving it a whirl. So far I’ve gotten nothing but positive feedback and some fairly amazing results. Check out my blogs on reiki and see for yourself.

As far as the massage and acupuncture, I feel that I have an ability to help people feel more comfortable in their own skins, and have
